Sam Shipping Protection user guide

Sam Shipping Protection runs your own order protection program inside Shopify. Shoppers choose protection for a small fee, and when an order arrives damaged, goes missing or is stolen, they file a claim on your store. You decide how to resolve it. Sam is not an insurance company and does not underwrite anything: the fee is yours, and so is the decision on each claim.

What you can do with the app

• Price protection your way: a fixed fee, a percentage of the cart, or prices that change with the cart value.
• Offer it in three places: the cart page and cart drawer, the checkout, and the thank-you page after purchase.
• Match your store: four widget layouts, your own text, colors and spacing, plus translations.
• Handle claims in one place: customers file claims on a claim page, and you approve them with a refund, store credit or a reorder.
• Go further: sell extended warranties on product pages, add an order tracking page, and ask Shopify Sidekick about your claims and orders.

Set up in four steps

1. Install the app and turn on the app embed.
2. Set the protection price and widget text.
3. Pick a widget design, and add the checkout and thank-you widgets if you want them.
4. Add the claim page to your store so customers can file claims.

The app home shows where you stand: whether the app embed is active and which widget placements are live.

Plans

Every plan includes the cart widget, fixed and percentage pricing, the claim portal and support. Paid plans remove the monthly order limit and add features such as price by cart value.
